| Just so I actually update this thing when there's not a character meme thing going on... Hello new and newish people! I haven't put up a current character list or a character graveyard. It's one of those things I've always intended to do but I never get around to. I will. One day, I will. Today likely isn't that day, unfortunately. I take far too many character memes. I'm sorry about this. However it gives me insight into some characters, tiny details I didn't have before. And also forces me to look at things that annoy me about previous versions of characters so I might change them. I have a fairy tale /nuthouse game in the works. Eventually. If you see any random talk about Alice, Gretel, and an Emperor? That's for it. I have had a goal foreverandever of having one day played each of the Black cousins. I'm hilariously short of this goal by three, although I've been dying to play Andromeda somewhere. I play superpowered games. I usually pick useless powers for the sheer humor of it. I also would like to try a mythology game. The character I'd love to play most in any fandom EVER is Charlie Dalton from Dead Poets Society. I'd also love to play a Velvet Goldmine character, either Mandy or Arthur. I don't do panfandom, so this will likely never happen. :( | ||||

| To answer questions! No, I have not died! No, I'm not sure I'm alive, either. D: I've not yet started to crave any odd foods, so that's at least a good sign! Whether this will last though the rest of the Christmas season has yet to be seen. I would like to warn you if I start to mumble about "braaaaaaaiiiiins", I would have wanted you to do the humane thing and put me out of my misery. Although I'm hoping that the future weeks, until the week of Christmas, won't be as physically and mentally draining as this past week was. ...I've just pretty much invoked murphey's law by even typing that, haven't I? | ||||

| Work has eaten me. I still have to work on bios for Unchosen and Darwinisms, as well as Unchosen itself. But I'm not sure if I should wait until CJ is online again or not since she is 1/3 of the mod team. I probably should. And I feel horrible I wasn't online to be active in DMR, and left people hanging even. Maybe when it comes out of hiatus, I can try to be more active. Hopefully everything will be much more sane and I'll be able to do more besides work and sleep. I'm feeling very useless right now, basically. And I want to rp something and really, I should just try to focus creativity into productivity. Or something. /Blah!Lo | ||||

| The weirdest thing about the makeup for Abby was that I had to tone it down from what I'm used to. She's all red lips and slightly smokey eyes. I'm usually drowning in eyeliner and bright or very deep eyeshadow. ( spider web tattoo came off with my facewash. I'm not sure if I should be glad it was easier to remove than I thought or scared about what I wash my face with. ) | ||||||

| I still haven't uploaded the pictures from my camera, although I'll get to that when I get home tonight. But I wasn't able to find a little black dress to be Amanda Palmer (old school, mime version) for Halloween, and there's no way I'd have been able to find a tan corset and looooooong ruffly skirt to be current Amanda Palmer. So with a few days to spare, I threw together an Abby Sciuto costume. Yes, it was somehow easier to get a hold of a LAB COAT than it was to get a hold of a little black dress. I don't understand it, either. But I already had the clothes, I bought a Betty Page wig on clearance, a collar, a fake tattoo, and a lab coat that I'm sure will see many, many future costumes. There's so many possibilities you can get out of a lab coat. I was supposed to go out with Amber from work and Jen, a girl who works with Mom. Amber's schedule changed at the very last second because our manager is a dick, so it was just Jen and I. We went out actually having no freaking clue WHERE we were going. There was a mascaraed ball at the Hunter museum. But we'd have had to rsvp two days before. The Delta Queen was having a Halloween party, but it was $35 a pop and I get terribly seasick. So we thought we'd drop by Coolidge Park to see if anything was happening there, but the only thing going on was the boat loading. We passed by a billboard for the Voodoo Bayou, put together by Rock City, and Jen mentioned she'd been wanting to go. Well, I'd been only years and years ago when it was known as the Enchanted Maize, and that was in broad daylight. I'm all FOR going through when it's dark and things pop out at you! There were two other attractions this time, too. So we skipped the maze and went through the Forest of Fear and on the Ghost Ride. While we were in line for the Forest, some of the ghouls came out to do a Thriller Dance. This alone was probably worth the money we spent. I fell down twice, once in the forest and once getting off the hayride, and I know have a HUGE dark purple bruise on my leg. But it's a good hurt, damnit. How often do you get to say you fell down being chased by zombies? I'm just glad Mom talked me into flats and out of the huge clunky boots I put on at first. After that we headed towards the Haunted Depot. They had children working at this one, and dude. They were far creepier than the adult actors. We got into one room that had no visible way out. There was this little girl looking almost dead on a couch and she slowly turned to look at us and asked what we wanted. Jen told her we were trying to find the way out and she stood up to point at a false wall, started to push it back, and then just kept SCREAMING HER HEAD OFF. agegroihe Kids are scary. I had a few monsters stop in mid scare, look at me, and shout "Oh my god, you're ABBY!". Which rocked. My costume was awesome enough I distracted the actors. :D! After we got out of there, we drove through the Chickamauga National Park. Which scares the fuck out of me and I've always refused to go anywhere near at night. It was foggy so every little thing looked like a ghost from a distance. Seriously, I freaked the fuck out because our headlights shone on a sign. D: All I could see was that it was silvery and behind lots of fog. It wasn't until we were right in front of it that I could tell it was just a sign. No, I didn't get out of the car. We just drove through it twice, on the main road. Apparently you're not really allowed to be there at all after dark, except for the main road, and if you get a ticket in the park? Well, it's a federal offense. So dealing with a park ranger would be a bit scarier than anything that may or may not go bump in the night out there. Oh, on our way to the Bayou thing, we passed by a very abandoned looking building that just had a hand painted sign out front that said "Haunted House: today only". It wasn't even advertised anywhere or anything. It was... very dodgy looking. Needless to say, we decided not to stop there. And that was Halloween. <3! I'm just sad now that I have to wait an entire year for any more haunted houses. ETA: at the Forest of Fear, some of the zombies screamed French at us. I thought that was a nice touch. And in the Thriller dance? The zombie lip synching Vincent Price's lines was dressed almost like Beetlejuice. Which was just amusing. | ||||||||

| I've been slacking off and lost an entire day yesterday. D: I worked first shift, came home, stayed up long enough to eat leftovers before passing out on the couch, and woke up this morning. My days off before that were spent out running around and working on a bio for a game that's not ready to start yet, and this morning to icon searching. So. PRIORITIES! Starting as of coming home tonight: 2. Comment, post, maybe thread? 3. Finish up Regulus bio for Unchosen since I've already got a good chunk done 4. Start on apps for Darwinisms since it seems to be starting soon. Start with Aine, since she should take less time. She has the same general personality, history, and powers as she had before. Then start on Wendy. 5. Get with Tricia and CJ. Work on Unchosen. | ||||||

So about a month ago (I'd say it was a month ago because I sent in apps to both it and the very awesome ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} darkmark_rising on the exact same day.), I sent in an app to this one game that was, in their ad, begging for a Regulus. So I sent in the app, they loved it, and they hated the pb. Oookay. Easily fixed. I asked find_a_pb for help and gave them the new pb the next day. It took them almost a week to get back to me to let me know I was in.I was already kinda irritated by then, but I went ahead and made an introduction post. Never got a response, and the game just never seemed to start. That happens sometimes, annoying I know. But it happens. I went on, just playing at DMR, and mostly forgot about it until the girl that plays our Bellatrix got a rejection from a game that was worded very weirdly like the acceptance I got from that game. Out of curiosity, I looked at the mod account. Aaand they'd moved. Without telling anyone. This was a couple of weeks ago. Last night I got home from work to an email from the mods to tell me where they were now and would I like to reapply? Needless to say? I'm kindavery over it. Just... wtf? | ||||

| For everyone that knows Ary, casablanca, she told me to tell everyone she's not going to be around for awhile, but not to worry about her. Since last time she disappeared it wasn't good. This time it's her laptop. It's been slowly breaking along the hinge, and the screen was going in and out. She texted me this afternoon to tell me it finally gave up the ghost and won't turn on at all. She can't afford to get it fixed, and definitely can't replace it, so she's not sure when she'll be back online. Hopefully a friend of hers may know how to fix it, or at least get it somewhat functional again! But if it takes awhile, yeah. Xposting to LJ also! | ||||

The PortraitistRandom, Character-Oriented, Platonic As a Portraitist, the character is everything to you. You value the character's personality and development more than anything else, and your goal in roleplay is to flesh the character out in any and every way possible. You're the method actor of the roleplay world: you know your character through and through (you've probably done a ton of research) and you enjoy throwing your character into new and random situations just to prompt interesting reactions. However, you're hard to involve in any plots, mostly because ongoing stories that don't focus on exploring your character's innermost depths quickly bore you. Also, you might like to put your character in tragic/stressful situations a little too much.
Yes, I know far too many random facts about my characters. I am not ashamed to admit this. | ||||

| I know I have everyone friended here also friended on LJ, but I'm putting this here, too, just in case. This morning I woke up with a piercing siren sound coming from my computer, which is Avast's rather alarming way of letting you know it's found a virus. I've been scanning for both viruses and spyware all day since then, and EACH TIME I keep finding new things. The thing is? I DON'T KNOW how I got it. I haven't done anything stupid on the computer or anything like that, and I think a few of them said they were worms. So, please. If I have emailed you, sent you anything, or perhaps even talked to you on IM please scan for viruses. I'm not sure where they came from or how they replicate themselves, and I'd rather all of you be safe than sorry. | ||||||||
