| Just so I actually update this thing when there's not a character meme thing going on... Hello new and newish people! I haven't put up a current character list or a character graveyard. It's one of those things I've always intended to do but I never get around to. I will. One day, I will. Today likely isn't that day, unfortunately. I take far too many character memes. I'm sorry about this. However it gives me insight into some characters, tiny details I didn't have before. And also forces me to look at things that annoy me about previous versions of characters so I might change them. I have a fairy tale /nuthouse game in the works. Eventually. If you see any random talk about Alice, Gretel, and an Emperor? That's for it. I have had a goal foreverandever of having one day played each of the Black cousins. I'm hilariously short of this goal by three, although I've been dying to play Andromeda somewhere. I play superpowered games. I usually pick useless powers for the sheer humor of it. I also would like to try a mythology game. The character I'd love to play most in any fandom EVER is Charlie Dalton from Dead Poets Society. I'd also love to play a Velvet Goldmine character, either Mandy or Arthur. I don't do panfandom, so this will likely never happen. :( | ||||

| Mom took it upon herself yesterday to buy me a Mother's day card from Cleo. I haven't wailed as much as I had yesteday since the day I buried her, and I haven't been as depressed as I am now about her death since I was that week. I realize Mom was trying to help. I do. But we seem to have majorly different styles of grief. She looks over and over at puctures of her, obsessively. I can barely bring myself to look at them. She also keeps pushing and pushing and PUSHING for us to go look at cats. I. Am. Not. Ready. I can't seem to get her or anyone else to understand that. I'm in mourning still. I need to move on in my own time, and it could take years. She was more than a pet to me. She was my daughter. And I had to put her in the ground. Less than two weeks before Christmas. I cannot handle another cat right now. I cannot handle being reminded of my loss. All I want is my baby back. | ||||

| I dreamed last night about Cleo. I got to pet her again, and she purred in my ear. I swear I could feel the fur tickling me. She was so soft and silky like I remember. I miss her so much still. I thought the ache would have numbed away by now, but it still hasn't. I'm not sure that it ever will. It's been just over four months, but it feels like it was just yesterday. I still look around for her, sometimes, and I'm surprised she's not sitting in one of her favourite spots. I wanted so badly for the dream to be real, to have just been waking up from a very long nightmare. Mommy still loves you, baby. Visit again as often as you want to. | ||||

| So, I have some friends who have some lines in vimods that they would like filled and so far no one has been interested, and I thought I'd ask here for them. I know they'd help me, too. On behalf of tetris, for her character rockbound Nymphadora Black; Yes, Black. In the universe this particular Andromeda came from, Ted was killed by Bellatrix when the family found out she was pregnant, and Andromeda was left to raise her herself. (With much help in babysitting thanks to her cousins.) She can be whatever age you want her, although she was five when she saw her last. Ted Tonks; They had been secretly engaged, I think, when he was killed. He can be from this universe or perhaps a universe where the reverse happened? IDK, TALK TO TRICIA! On behalf of pluto, for her character andwyn Theodore Selwyn; Yes, Selwyn. This is a mindfuck of a game if you haven't figured this out already. She comes from the universe where the wizarding world is part of the United Wizarding Nations, a world that's been under control of Gellert Grindewald and Albus Dumbledore since the 1910s and muggleborn children are "rescued" (kidnapped) from their families at birth and placed in magical homes. Theodore Selwyn is just Ted Tonks raised as a wizard. Nymphadora Selwyn; She'd probably like her daughter, as well.On behalf of ME, for my character tomboychef canon!Charlus Potter; Dorea is 21 and currently engaged to Charlus, although you can make him any age you want to. I just beg of you to have him old enough to be out of Hogwarts. :| They have three versions of their son running about, three versions of their sorta-adopted son running about, and three versions of their grandson running about. | It's funny how learning new things about history gives you a new perspective on your characters, sometimes. I have my Dorea Black as wanting to be a chef after she finishes school. I knew it's a hard field for a woman to get into even now, but I didn't know until a few days ago how hard it really was in her day. I was browsing TV freaking Tropes of all places and came across the fact that until the eighties, female chefs were practically unheard of, because women weren't considered smart enough to do it. And the few women that tried were harassed and threatened (or worse) until they left the field. So the one aspect I gave to my tomboy character to soften her up... actually really does the exact opposite, from a historical point of view. Rock on, Dor. I'm... still not fine, but I'm healing. I actually made it through the day for the first time without crying. I'm still sad, but it's not consuming me like it was. I miss her, and I'm always going to miss her, but I'm able to function again. And I think I'm ready to get back to rping again. And I know, I have memes to answer, too. I love you guys. <3 | ||||

| The girl who gave Cleo to me when she was just a small ball of fluff (so small she fit comfortably in one hand. Half siamese and the runt of the litter.) messaged me today. She had kept one cat out of the litter, Venus, and she'd been having many of the same health problems that Cleo had been having at the end. She said that she was pretty sure Venus was dying and that she'd be gone by the time she got home from work. She sounded like a total mess, and I hopefully will get to see her sometime this week. She was there for me, and I want to be there for her, too. In a weird way, it helps to know that she'll have her sister soon. I know she hasn't seen her since they were weaned, but I'm sure there's still a connection. It also helps to know that there really wasn't anything I could have done, even if I'd known what was wrong. It was just her time. I still miss her every day, still cry for her every day. But I know we did the right thing for her, and I'm glad I was with her when she passed away. I'd been so afraid I'd be at work and she'd be alone, and I don't think I would have been able to handle that. For everyone who has commented to me, imed me, emailed me, thank you. I can't begin tell you how much it means to me. | ||||

| I really need a distraction, so I'm doing this meme again: Choose one or more characters of mine, and I will use the Polyvore App to create an outfit they would wear on any given day. (Or, conversely, specify a special event/day and I will make an outfit based around that! For example, a wedding or a funeral.
